Our aim is to shine a light on the excellence of gin production and for the awards judges to concentrate on one spirit – Australian gin.
180 gins have been entered into the inaugural Australian Gin Awards from 66 Australian distilleries. Many of these companies are small batch distillers looking to find a market for their gin. 61 of the companies have entered their stunning bottles into the Design awards. These awards will provide a focus for Australian gin not only through the judging process but via the launch of Sydney’s first Gin Palooza being held at Manjit’s overlooking Cockle Bay during 8 & 9 March. where 40 of the distilleries will spend two days at “meet your maker” tasting sessions.
