Gin Awards
Year after year, the quality and complexity of gins submitted to our competition have soared. Last year’s entries were no exception, showcasing the incredible talent and innovation of our distillers. The entries were of a consistent standard across all classes from Classic, Contemporary, Old Tom, Matured, Over Proof, Flavoured and Liqueurs with a gin base.
We look forward to more of your exceptional entries this year.
Mikey Enright
Chairman, Australian Gin Awards 2025.

Trophies & Medals
This years ‘Best In Show’ will win the perpetual trophy along with a distiller stand at the festival of their choice plus a large ‘2025 Best In Show’ pull-up banner for their stand and a roll of 1000 bottle stickers.
All trophy winners will receive marketing across all our social media channels plus an invitation to accept their award at the awards presentation night held in September.

Class Criteria
All gins entered must be produced in Australia or New Zealand by producers holding an Excise Manufacturers License and must comply with the laws as set by the Food Standards Australia New Zealand Code (FSANZ).
Double entries: Please note that any gin may only be entered into one class. Give careful consideration when selecting your classes as gins judged to be entered into the wrong class cannot be provided with a score by our judges.
AGA Gin Packaging Competition
This year’s ‘Best Bottle’ will win a distiller stand at a Gin Events festival of the winners’ choice including a 2025 Best Bottle pull-up banner for their stand. That banner will then be featured at all festivals for the following 12 months commencing in November 2025
New this year. Two trophies to be won.
In addition to entering one single bottle into category one, there is a second category being a series of bottles (2 or 3 bottles in a matching set).
A pull up banner will be created for the winners of each category and will be featured at all Gin Events festivals for the following 12 months commencing in November 2025.
Packaging Chair: Lindsay Silcox.

Enter a single bottle for category 1 or enter a series of bottles (up to 3) for category 2.
The judges will be looking at label designs, bottle quality and closures, company branding and overall shelf appeal.
Awards & Feedback
2025 bottle stickers will be available for Trophy, Gold, Silver and Bronze as well as State & Territory winners.
Written judges comments and certificates for medal winners will be mailed out to all entries.
All medal winners will be published on this website and a press release will be sent to several major publications.
